Seven years – nine wonderful trips!
And yet there are still more things to do and discover!
Unfortunately the covid pandemic has meant that the possibility of finding appropriate accommodation in London has become very difficult. We previously used the Hotel Meininger at Hyde Park, which has closed down, and the YHA Thameside, which is no longer taking groups. Available accommodation is not appropriate for our needs and therefore no trips will be planned for October 2022. We sincerely hope that the situation changes and that trips can once again start in October 2023.
Etoile Education are again organising 2 new trips to London in October …
The dates for the trips are :
The highlight of both trips will be a visit to a theatre in London’s West End to see an evening performance of “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” (12 years +) and a matinee performance of “Mary Poppins” (9-11 years) (bookings to be confirmed).
Both trips will include visits to at least two renowned museums – the Imperial War Museum and the Tate Modern for the older group and the British Museum and the Science Museum for the younger group.
The 12 years + will also get to walk around the Westminster – Buckingham Palace area of London and spend their first evening bowling at the Hollywood Bowl in Surrey Quays. Both groups will have time to squeeze in a film at the cinema.
There will also be shopping opportunities at the Harry Potter shop on Platform 9 3/4 and FOYLES bookshop for the younger group, whilst the older group will have shopping time at the Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre (bookshops, fashion boutiques, sports shops, Starbucks…)
The Thameside YHA will provide a comfortable resting place, with well-equipped bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and restaurant facilities.
There are 16 places for the 11 yrs+ trip: cost 600 euros
and 14 places for the 9 – 11 yrs trip : cost 550 euros
Places are reserved according to availability
